Booking
Why book direct instead of on Airbnb?
Booking here gets you our best rate with no Airbnb service fee. Returning guests also get 10% off when they book direct, and you deal with our team directly from the first message to checkout.
Is booking on this site secure?
Yes. Reservations and payments run through our secure booking system, the same one that manages our Airbnb and Vrbo calendars, so the dates and prices you see are always current.
How do I check if a home is available?
Enter your dates and number of guests in the search on our homepage or Our Stays page. Only homes that are open for those dates appear, with the real total for your stay.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancel 30 or more days before check-in for a full refund minus a 5% processing fee. Cancel 15 to 29 days before for a 50% refund. Within 14 days of check-in, the stay is not refundable. The full terms are on our Policies page.
Do you offer discounts for returning guests?
Yes. Guests who have stayed with us before get 10% off when they book direct. Enter your returning-guest code at checkout. Don’t have it? Contact us and we’ll send it.
Your Stay
What time are check-in and check-out?
Check-in is at 4:00 PM. Check-out is at 11:00 AM at most homes and 10:00 AM at Hidden Oasis and Time Capsule. Your confirmation lists the exact times for your home.
How do I get into the home?
Our homes use self check-in, so there’s no key pickup. Before you arrive we send your entry details and a digital guidebook with directions, parking, Wi-Fi and everything you need for the house.
What is in the guidebook?
Each home has its own digital guidebook covering arrival, the house and its amenities, checkout steps, and our favorite local restaurants and things to do. You can browse them on our Guidebooks page.
Who do I contact during my stay?
Message us any time through your booking, email [email protected], or call 989-220-3797. We’re a local team and respond quickly.
Are there any guest perks nearby?
Yes. Mention Haze Retreats for 10% off at Lake Street Pub in Boyne City and The Villager Pub and Terry’s Place in Charlevoix, plus 10% off UTV rentals from JC7 Rentals in Gaylord.
Pets and House Rules
Are pets allowed?
Pets are welcome at Hidden Oasis and The Noble Bear for $150 per pet. Pine Lake accepts well-behaved pets by arrangement for $100 per pet, so please ask before booking. All other homes are pet-free. Use the Pets filter on Our Stays to see pet-friendly homes.
Can I smoke at the property?
No. Smoking is not permitted inside any of our homes.
Can we host a party or event?
Our homes are for relaxing getaways, not parties or events. Please keep noise respectful of neighbors, and no fireworks.
Is there a limit on the number of guests?
Yes. Each home has a maximum number of guests, shown on its listing. Only registered guests may stay overnight or use the pool and hot tub.
Amenities
Which homes have a hot tub or pool?
Hot tubs are at Retreat 27, Hidden Oasis, Time Capsule and Quack Shack. Pools are at Hidden Oasis (indoor), Time Capsule and Quack Shack. Use the filters on Our Stays to find them.
Which homes are on the water?
Retreat 27, The Noble Bear, Knotty Pine Retreat, Pine Lake, Lem’s Paradise #1, Lem’s Paradise #2 and Little Lems are lakefront. Use the Lakefront filter on Our Stays.
Where are your homes located?
Across Northern Michigan in Gaylord, Boyne City, Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Frederic and Vanderbilt, plus Pine Lake near Plainwell in Southwest Michigan.
