About Hidden Oasis
Hidden Oasis is a split-level home on open acreage outside Gaylord, built around a rare thing in northern Michigan: a private, fully enclosed, heated indoor pool. Swim in January with snow on the windowsills, grab a drink at the poolside bar, then cross to the outdoor hot tub.
The pool wing sits apart from the living areas, and the house gives a big group several places to land: a game room with pool table and air hockey, a second bar, a lounge with a TV, and a main level with the kitchen, dining and living room. Five bedrooms sleep 16 in real beds, including a king suite with its own bath and a bunk room the kids claim fast.
Outside there is a putting green, a fire pit, patio dining and open grounds. The house has some years on it, with original brick and a classic split-level layout, while the kitchen and bathrooms have been updated.
Gaylord and nearby
Gaylord sits at the top of northern Michigan’s lower peninsula, and it is a four-season town. Downtown has an alpine-village main street with restaurants, breweries and shops. Summer is golf, with more than a dozen courses within a short drive, plus lakes, trails and the Pigeon River Country State Forest, home to Michigan’s wild elk herd. Winter brings groomed snowmobile and cross-country trails right from town, and downhill skiing at Treetops, with Boyne Mountain under an hour away.
Treetops Resort is minutes away for skiing and golf, and Boyne Mountain, Petoskey and Mackinaw City make easy day trips.
