About The Blue Spruce
The Blue Spruce looks like a cozy cabin from the driveway, then keeps going: three bright, modern levels with four bedrooms, ten beds and a basement Crew Room that sleeps the overflow. It suits families, reunions and crew trips of up to 14.
The eat-in kitchen has a farmhouse sink and full-size appliances, and it flows straight into the open living room. Outside there are two fire pits, a smokeless one on the front deck and a classic fire ring out back under the pines, and a quiet lake with an easy kayak drop-in is a short walk down the road.
Frederic and nearby
Frederic is a small Up North town about 10 minutes north of Grayling and 15 minutes south of Gaylord. Grayling, Michigan’s canoeing capital on the AuSable River, is next door, Hartwick Pines State Park and its old-growth forest are about 15 minutes away, and Higgins Lake’s clear water is about 25. In winter, groomed snowmobile trails link Frederic, Grayling and Gaylord right from town, and golfers have more than ten courses within 30 minutes.
The AuSable River, Hartwick Pines and the region’s trail network are all minutes away.
